What makes this trade different

Detailing breaks the assumption almost every field-service tool is built on. The unit of work is a vehicle, and the vehicle moves. It might come to your bay, or you might go to an office car park where it happens to be parked today.

Capacity is the second difference. A bay does a fixed number of vehicles a day and a mobile unit does fewer; overbooking either one is not recoverable by working faster, because a correction cure or a coat of sealant takes the time it takes.
