Appliance and Equipment Repair

Arrive with the right part, because you knew the model

Model and serial captured against the customer's appliance, prior-visit findings on the record, and parts recorded against the job that used them.

What makes this trade different

Appliance repair is decided by the parts van. A technician who arrives knowing the model number completes the job; one who arrives to diagnose then order completes half of it and books a second visit that earns nothing.

The repeat-visit problem compounds. A machine that has already had two parts fitted is a repair-or-replace conversation, but only if somebody can see the two previous visits.

How ServusOne handles it

  • Model and serial on the customer's unit

Appliances are recorded as equipment against the customer with their identifying detail, so the part can be ordered before anyone drives out rather than after.

  • Prior visits visible at the point of booking

When the same customer calls about the same machine, the previous work orders are on the record — which changes how the call is scoped before a technician is ever assigned.

  • The repair-or-replace conversation, evidenced

A documented service log against the unit turns “this has been repaired twice already” into something you can show, which is a far easier recommendation to make.

  • Parts consumed, recorded, and billed

Components fitted are recorded against the work order, so the invoice includes them and stock levels reflect what actually left the van.

Straight answers

Can I keep a history for each appliance separately?

Yes. Each unit is recorded against the customer site with its own identifying detail and service log, so history follows the appliance rather than the visit.

Does ServusOne look up parts or connect to supplier catalogs?

No. ServusOne records your own inventory items and the parts consumed on a job. It does not integrate with manufacturer or distributor parts catalogs.
